DIVIDED AMERICA: Our Post Roe Future

As we approach the release of the Supreme Court decision regarding challenges to Roe v. Wade and its companion case Planned Parenthood v. Casey there is a very good chance that legal abortion will no longer be foisted upon unwilling states with Christian populations who want nothing to do with such an evil practice. With the abolition of Roe and Casey the states will be free to decide for themselves whether the unborn are protected from murder by law or not. As of Spring 2022, 13 states have “trigger laws” that will immediately outlaw abortion the moment federal mandates are repealed. A further 7 states have trigger laws that will immediately dramatically restrict abortion and another 6 states are very likely to restrict and ban abortions in the immediate aftermath of Roe’s overturning. Abortionists and their media foot soldiers have kicked their infanticide propaganda into 11th gear ever since a leak from the high court showed a draft opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito had a 5-4 vote majority in favor of ending Roe and Casey. Chief Justice John Roberts has harshly condemned the leak and vowed that the courts work would continue without undue outside influence but that, indisputably, the trust within the institution had been seriously damaged. Recently the Department of Homeland Security stated that there were many credible threats against the conservative wing of the court and that security services had been dispatched to protect them and their households. In the few weeks after the leak thousands of leftists posted personal addresses and attempted to intimidate Justices that were listed as voting with Alito on his opinion at their family homes.

22 states: Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington are on track to maintain legal and relatively unrestricted abortion in the wake of Roe’s possible repeal. Some of these states like Alaska and Pennsylvania have relevant pro life movements and legislators and could see a shift in legislation in the near future (especially in Pennsylvania if pro-life patriot and Republican Nominee Doug Mastriano is elected Governor).
Sen. Doug Mastriano will be partnering with Rep. Stephanie Borowicz to introduce the "heartbeat" anti-abortion bill in Harrisburg this fall. His comments here are part of a heartfelt interview which can be seen in it's entirety on our Facebook page. @SenMastriano @PASenateGOP pic.twitter.com/7ccfSwquvx

Florida recently passed a law that bans abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy that will go into effect in July. Georgia also has a recently passed 6 week abortion bill that was struck down by federal judges but if Roe is struck down then the bill would immediately become law. The state of Texas, which has effectively banned abortion already, is one of the 13 states with trigger laws that will immediately ban abortions entirely throughout the state but Oklahoma and Louisiana have taken up the fight for life even more staunchly and are awaiting Governor’s signatures (likely to pass) on laws handing down 6 figure fines and 10-20 year prison sentences for doctors who kill unborn children. Governor Kevin Stitt of Oklahoma also just signed a bill banning abortion from conception on May 25th. Mississippi has some of the strictest trigger laws as well; if Roe and Casey are overturned it will be thanks to the case brought forward by the Magnolia state. What will be interesting to watch is how globalist RINO’s like Utah’s Spencer Cox will react to his state suddenly being considered “extremist” by the left wing activists he loves to appease. Cox recently vetoed a bill banning men from competing in women’s sports but the veto was resoundingly overturned by the Utah legislature who are definitively pro-life maximalists. States like Michigan and Wisconsin, which have some restrictions on abortion set to go into effect, will be some of the biggest battlegrounds as conservative and progressive voices, who are both very loud and established, will try to shift the restrictions in their respective directions.
BREAKING: Oklahoma follows Texas as the 2nd state to successfully ban abortions. Congratulations!

In some of the aforementioned abortionist states lawmakers are already preparing for a post Roe future and hope to turn their states into “abortion sanctuaries” where women from pro-life states will have their travel and abortions subsidized. In California Governor Gavin Newsom has expressed his desire to turn his state into an abortion hub and has passed laws to eliminate out of pocket costs for abortions and to expand the right to abortion beyond what is already protected in the California constitution. Oregon has pumped tens of millions of dollars into a “Reproductive Health Equity Fund” to expand “access” to abortion and subsidize the murder of poor women’s unborn babies. Colorado recently passed a law that explicitly states that fetuses, fertilized eggs, and embryos do not have independent rights under Colorado law. What we see now is two America’s. A pro life Christian in a state where abortion is illegal and recognized as murder can watch over an invisible line with no restrictions on crossing as a woman leaves his state and has her unborn child killed a few miles away. Is this a tenable civilizational situation? Can we be sure that radical left wing groups won’t take up arms and resort to terrorism in states that protect the unborn? America has polarized for decades now but this split along state lines over such a fundamental issue for Christians will really escalate the new American divide. Pray for a decision overturning Roe v. Wade in June and for the lives of all the unborn.
